Backstage Crew
Children are welcome to sign-up as the Backstage Crew. The Backstage Crew plays a vital role in making the Green Stage charity event a seamless and unforgettable experience. The crew will work closely with event organizers, performers, and technical teams to ensure that everything runs smoothly, from setup to the final curtain call. This is a perfect opportunity for children who do not want to be in a performance or who are not able to commit to weekly rehearsals for a performance at the event.
Stage Crew
Your role as Stage Crew will be to come up with an efficient plan to que the performers to go on the stage, help set up the stage for the performances and guide the performer off the stage.
Event Greeters
Your role as Event Greeter will be to give a warm welcome to all the guests. You will be assigned to make the welcome desk set up inviting and at the same time efficient to manage the ticketing. You will then ask the Ushers to help guide the guest inside the theatre to help them find seats.
Crowd Control
Crowd control is an essential part of any big event. As a Crowd Control crew, you will be required to guide the guest to their seats from the welcome desk. Have everyone settle down as the event begins. Help the attendees with any questions and concerns they may have.
Camera Crew
The Camera crew will be helping us capture on-stage and off-stage moments.
Your role will include not only recording all the performances but also taking beautiful pictures of the performers, attendees, and all hard-working crew members.
All you need is a team to help take this task, devices to capture videos and pictures, a tripod stand for your devices, and a plan to cover the event.
Art Crew
An aesthetically pleasing stage/venue sets the tone of the event.
We welcome anyone who would be interested in taking this project. Please submit your application with details of your plan.
We are looking into the possibility of planning an art program at Mount Pleasant Art Center by Artist Eman Salem. This program will help kids collaborate to design the stage/venue for Green Stage. Please look out for details on the CMH WhatsApp group.
Concession Crew
At the event, we will be running a concession stand.
Your role as the concession crew would be to coordinate with other homeschoolers to bring items to sell at the concession and set up the concession stand before the event starts so that it is ready for business right after the event ends.
Guidelines for Crew Manager
The guidelines for the Crew Manager(CM) are as follows:
Must be an adult.
Responsible to have children under their supervision to carry out backstage tasks.
Responsible for signing up the crew.
Responsible to bring all crew members for two dress rehearsals on:
October 26th at Al-Salaam Centre from 3:30pm-5:30 pm.
November 2nd at Shane Homes YMCA from 3:30-5:30 pm.
Crew Manager should not be a Performance Director for any performance.
Guidelines for Crew Members
The guidelines for the Crew Members are as follows:
Children Between ages 4-16 are welcome to join us as Backstage Crew.
Crew Members are free to attend the event. They must purchase tickets for their family members. The tickets are $5 per person. Two and under are free.
Crew Members must be available for two dress rehearsals on:
October 26th at Al-Salaam Centre
November 2nd at Shane Homes YMCA from 2-5 pm.
Crew Members cannot be part of any performances.
To sign up a Backstage crew, click on the Backstage Crew Signup button below once you have the following information:
Name of the adult who will be the Crew Manager.
Names and ages of the potential Crew Members.
Once you have submitted the application, please wait for the acceptance letter. Your acceptance letter will include further instructions to help you to prepare for the event.
